WeWork used to be a company I love. NOT anymore. Long gone is the trust. The brand is ruined and hated among the small business members like myself.

I was with WeWork over a year before the pandemic. I just signed up for a 6-month lease right before the pandemic. Keep in mind, I have 1 shared office seat in WeWork. I asked WeWork to please just freeze my account just until things opened up and I'd be happy to pay. They refused. I told them we were struggling to stay open, please just pause this bill. They refused. My father DIED from COVID-19 and I asked WeWork to let me out of my lease and they STILL refused. I'm paying it so that I don't have any legal issues, but when my lease is up, I will do everything in my power to not only never do business with them, but to never have another meeting at a WeWork or enter a WeWork ever again in my lifetime. I will also crusade so that others avoid this scourge of business at all costs. I used to love WeWork and their team. Now I really do hope for the little bit of money they're stealing from me and other small businesses, for services that we can't use mind you, that the entire organization collapses into the abyss. Enjoy your last days WeWork.

I am very disappointed in WeWork for not recognising the impact Covid-19 has had on a lot of its members (most of which are small/start up businesses). They have offered nothing and made no attempt to negotiate. I'm a strong believer in karma and this will end up hurting them more than us. Together we can stand up to a big conglomerate who come across as bullies in this time. WeWork you show no class at all and I look forward to parting ways, and I know a lot of others who share this feeling.

I'm signing as its very insensitive of them to continue charging full-rent when we dont have the capability to use the location due to strict implementation of a lockdown and stay at home orders by local government units, as clearly our primary consideration is our employees safety and security. They have not agreed to renegotiate our contract and insist the membership agreement remains in force - shows no compassion at all to our business.

I'm signing this because I believe that WeWork would benefit by waiving/reducing fees during COVID-19 as opposed to requiring all members to pay full price without being able to offer its services. It reads as selfish and inconsiderate to charge everyone during all of this.

We've been out of the office since 4/18. I've emailed WeWork and the team on a number of occasions. Often to no response at all other times a blanket boiler plate response, that is copied and paste in. Basically telling me the office is still open. However we have signs on the doors from WeWork saying only essential workers are permitted, or one member of the business can enter for an essential task, such as collecting mail. We managed to get a rent deferral for April but that has been added to the remaining months on the lease - serving us no purpose what so ever. They Don't care. Zero community. I've been to the office a couple of times in late May and no services are open. Not even coffee. I read WeWork have not been paying their master landlords and negotiating new rates!! The Irony. I'd expect reduced rates, rent holidays etc.

Frustrating! Our business is closed, out of work and having to decide to pay our mortgage or an empty WeWork space. Only used for 2 of our 12 month term.

We Work lost its way by not supporting the Start Ups that we believed in.
And they still have the nerve to say they are ready for the new normal by offering more fictional space. We Work has a non-viable business model for the future

I have been a member of WeWork since 2013. I have raved about how supportive WeWork has always been to it’s members. I am totally shocked by their lack of support during this time. I don’t believe they will regain the trust of members nor do they deserve it.

We have finished the contract unilaterally, WeWork charged the deposit automatically, and charge fees for March, April, and May despite zero usage. We have to move out by May 25th but beforehand we have to pay full fees. Isn't it a clear abuse????

I find it unconscionable that we are being offered NO appreciable discount on services that are impossible to use during this time. The building where my office is located is currently completely empty and yet they are charging everyone full price with no concession. Furthermore, the aggressive refusal to acknowledge or communicate regarding the predicament we're in is akin to gaslighting. I have not seen a worse example of corporate behavior in my personal experience - especially such hypocritical behavior coming from a company that espouses philosophies of community values and support. Why make enemies with your customers? This could have been handled so much better. They killed their brand in an era where branding is everything.

At the beginning of the pandemic, I opened a ticket to ask suspension of my membership since I was not using the space because I was not allowed to leave home.
1 month and an half after, after 2 more support ticket and a call to the guy who is suppose to be the “community manager” I still have no answer. I also asked to receive a copy of the contract , but I am being simply ignored.

We have been trying to negotiate with WeWork on different emails with no positive reply, they took more than 45 days to answer my first request to negotiate (but the monthly fee continued without hesitation or answer) and they have taken more than 4 months to solve different issues related with the invoices we were receiving.

I’ve had my office en wework since they started in Usaquen, the pitch was always WE care, WE travel, WEWork, we... we.we...

He havent been able to use the office because of the national order of quarantine since middle of march and WeWork is keep charging full membership even when is impossible to use the service they sell they are behind a very stupid argument "Covid is not a major force and goverment hasn't order them to close the building even when lockdown is still active. Besides this on May the charge us three times for the monthly fee and it was discounted for our account but apparently their platform in Colombia reject payments (a weirdest situation that never happened before in one year of contract with them) and we made a complain and even with the complaint they wanted to charge us 10%penalties. After that they gave a period of 3 days to pay but took 2 days to answer the billing information (also very weird)

Attempted to negotiate with Wework to defer rent payment, which is better than reduction or waiver, and asked for two months of free rent towards the end of the membership in August 2021, which would equate to roughly 2 months of shut down in New York City. Two months of free rent is also not different than average vacancies, especially in this environment. Plus I asked for that in 2021, not now. Wework only offered to defer rent one month. Was very inflexible in negotiations.

I stand with all WeWork members facing hardship. I also stand for the safety of my staff and all Wework members safety. The company's minor attempts at safety for all staff of the company and its members is not sufficient for the times.

COVID hit my 12-year-old agency like a freight train, shrinking my business and our rate structure, and putting most of our projects on hold. WeWork offered no relief on my 14-person office, citing that they were open to serve essential businesses even though our city was on Stay-at-Home lockdown and we were unable to take advantage of the space or services we were paying for without putting our lives at risk. Despite the trauma, the lockdown, and not setting foot in the building since March except to collect mail a couple of times, we paid full rent in April and May. I asked for some options to shrink my space to something more manageable in size and payment, or get out of it entirely for a robust penalty so my business could survive (I offered to pay the full amount of the difference as if I were on a month-to-month contract rather than an annual one, in one lump sum) so that I could save my longstanding employees’ jobs while we weathered the worst of this unforeseen and unprecedented storm. I was offered zero relief other than a month's deferment, which would make my monthly payments after that even higher. My problem is adjusting for a dramatically reduced future, but for nearly a month WeWork has rejected every single proposal and has offered no counter-proposals — only rejection, even though a huge part of their sell was flexibility if my business changed. I'm not looking for a handout, but simply a meet-me-in-the-middle solution that doesn't kill my business. I'm appalled and disappointed by their behavior thus far.

Stonewalling requests, unreasonable in not passing on savings, making statements that are factually untrue, not delivering contracted services, not engaging in a reasonable rent review.

They refuse to give any relief or concessions and would not want to enter into any kind of renegotiation. They continue to demand payment for April and May to include late payment fee and subsequent suspension of membership even if the space was not even used at all. They insist that the Membership Agreement remains in force even during a pandemic and it does not come without any consequence. Saying that they have adjusted buildings to follow local ordinances and encourage members to access the space is inappropriate. The safety and security of our employees would always be our utmost concern add to that the strict government implementation of lockdowns. They paint a picture that they will continue to be open for members even when they themselves are not present. Such act is very insensitive and unjust when businesses have been greatly impacted by this crisis.

It’s unconscionable that Wework is making us pay at the Warner Center because that location OPENED on March 16, 2019 when only THREE DAYS LATER the governor of CA issued a shelter in place directive. We have NEVER EVEN STEPPED FOOT IN OUR BUILDING and Wework has collected 5k from us- more than they quoted in my Lease!!!!! They are NOT WILLING to work with us to terminate my lease. This leaves a terrible taste in our mouths about this awful company.

Has been difficult to negotiate any assistance from WeWork. They have offered a deferral of 2 months but must be paid back before 31st December. They have also agreed to allow a downgrade to a smaller space but they want you to still spend the full amount of the original agreement by extending the term. They also penalise you the difference in the Service Retainer as a penalty so no real incentive to downgrade. They are also refusing to comply with local NSW government code of conduct applicable to commercial landlords in NSW. They claim "it doesn't apply to them". They have promised to release their own code of conduct - still waiting to see this nearly 2 weeks after government release.

I'm not sure what the consequences will be, and its kind of a pain, but I had my bank put a stop payment on the bank ACH pull from my Wework and while there is a bank fee, its a lot less than my monthly rent. Does anyone think that WeWork will survive this? They didn't pay rent in NYC on a bunch of buildings.

Wework continues to charge us and has even threaten to take us to court and keep the deposit if we don’t pay the full amount of the membership fee. The building can not be used by our staff because we are under quarantine which has been in place since March by the government.

Hi eveyone. At Peru WeWork representatives are making some concessions. In my particular case, they are not going to charge us one month (April) and this month (May) they will charge only 50%. Our country will reactivate activities partially the following weeks. Lets hope things get better soon.

Paying over 4K per month and are in NYC lockdown. It's not safe to go in and wework is not addressing this at all. I even offered to extend my two year lease if they waived payment during the pandemic. They said NO.
